The 24 Maple Philosophy

To an outsider, a wedding is just two people exchanging rings in a beautiful venue filled with friends, family, and lots of flowers. It’s visual. To your guests, a wedding is the culmination of a love story that has been writing itself for who knows how long. 24 Maple is here to help write the next chapter of that story, highlighting the best moments of your time together and creating promise for your future.

At 24 Maple, we strive to create a fun and engaging wedding planning experience. Your engagement is a special time, filled with love, joy, anticipation. You should enjoy every moment leading up to your special day and that’s why we are here. This is another important chapter in your relationship and we want to provide a stress-free, inviting, pleasant planning experience for both of you and your families.

Meet Connar Ruth

Connar has always had a passion for weddings. As a young girl, she and her sister dressed up almost weekly in their bride costume, acting out Connar’s favorite movie of all time, Father of the Bride. Since then, Franck Eggelhoeffer and the home on 24 Maple have always been a source of inspiration.

Connar graduated from The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State before moving to New York City to pursue her first job. After about eight months in the Big Apple at a luxury hotel property, Connar decided the warm and welcoming Midwest was a much better fit. Now located in the energetic, comeback city of Detroit, Connar works full-time as a catering coordinator for a high profile, private venue downtown and launched her own wedding design company, 24 Maple, in 2019.

Connar loves designing elegant, romantic events that highlight a couple’s personality. Her events are intimate, natural, and timeless. Her attention detail and natural creativity give your wedding the unique, personal touch you are looking for.

When Connar is not working, she can be found creating new cupcake recipes, traveling with her partner-in-crime, Fernando, cheering on the Michigan State Spartans, re-watching her favorite 90’s wedding movies, or exploring her new city, Detroit.
