Kiersten & Jeff's Santa Fe Wedding
Updated: Apr 23, 2019
When my sister told the family that she and Jeff wanted to get married in Santa Fe, New Mexico we were all a little skeptical. Jeff had just traveled there on business and fell in love with the quaint, historic town. He gave Kiersten a call and told her Santa Fe was where they were going to get married. By the time he was home from the trip, Kiersten had put together all of their dream wedding details.
Before Jeff had even popped the question, we all booked a trip to tour venues and get a sense of the area. By the time we left, we knew we would be working with Samie at La Fonda on the Plaza. Then, we just had to wait for Jeff to pop the important question.
Fast forward to June of 2018 when Kiersten and Jeff shared a magical day together. We woke up to rain filled clouds, but as the wedding hour approached, the clouds cleared and the sun came out to highlight all of the details that made their day special.
Kiersten and Jeff wanted a natural, elegant wedding that allowed them to express their
personality. We stuck with a simple color palette of ivory, sage, and blush with accents of gold. The flowers were natural without being too earthy and with gold vases and modern lines, Floriography did a great job creating a natural and elegant design.
As lovers of wine and champagne, it was only natural that they kicked off the wedding with sangria and toasted the night with sparkling wine from Gruet, an Albuquerque based winery. The cake was topped with a figurine of their beloved pup Tucker. For dessert, they offered a full dessert bar with Key Lime Cheesecakes and Cherry Empanadas as a tribute to their home states of Florida and Michigan. As the sister of the bride, I can (biased-ly) say their wedding was flawless. I am so happy for them. My sister is #OfficiallyOgden and I officially have a brother. Welcome to the family, Jeff. I can’t wait to watch your journey together unfold.
